Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and musician. Her main focus is Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil acting debuts. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was the daughter of a Madras High Court attorney. She has a younger sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research assistant. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was a young classical pianist who was also a huge geek. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined when she turned 10 years old. This led to her first professional singing experience as well as her first music composition. She worked as a stage artist at her school and took part in several plays produced through The Madras Players, EVAM as well as other theatre companies. The president was of the the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's professional career began with the Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She starred in a new leo advertisement alongside actor Shiva. Also, she was a part of the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. The actress has also appeared roles in India. She had a short part in the final scene in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). When she sang a tune on Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu the director asked her to join in the role of a lead female character in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed with Andrea playing Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in a sexual affair and gets threatened with blackmail. Andrea was cast in the film after Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. The film was released in the early part of 2010. She agreed in 2011 to play a minor support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was premiered in August of 2011. The actress made her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
